Multi-Port Plug Valves are widely used in oilfield mining, transportation, and scouring equipment. These valves are designed for use in harsh environments, such as those involving corrosive, toxic, or hazardous media, where leakage is strictly prohibited and valve materials must not contaminate the medium. The valve body can be made from carbon steel, alloy steel, or stainless steel, depending on the working medium.

The 3-way plug valve operates by rotating the handwheel a quarter turn, which causes the valve plug to align its port with the valve port. This allows the fluid to flow through the valve. To close the valve, the handwheel is rotated in the opposite direction, aligning the plug port perpendicular to the fluid flow path, thereby blocking the fluid from passing through.
